Information displays are digital devices (displays, projectors) installed in public spaces.
They are mainly used for advertising. Digital signage aims to display advertising messages to the target audience in the right place and at the right time.
Digital information displays have a number of key advantages compared to static advertising. Firstly, you can quickly change the message. Secondly, the message is dynamic. Thirdly, the message can be adapted to its environment and audience, both manually or automatically. The only disadvantage is implementation difficulty.
Digital Signage has a number of uses. The most common ones are:
- Public information: news, weather, circumstantial information (i.e. the locations of fire exits).
- Internal information: corporate news, health data in public health institutions, etc.
- Advertising: both specific to the audience found at the location and audience-neutral.
- Public image: in order to improve the standing of a shop or a business and create the desired vibe.
- Consumer behavior: attracting consumers to certain areas, increasing the time they spend in the supermarket.
