 VC solutions can be software- or hardware-based.

- Software solutions are much cheaper than the hardware ones, as there is no need for specialized equipment. It can be run via a cloud service or software installed on the PC. 

- Hardware solutions require equipment to be installed on customer premises and can operate both via intranet and through public networks.
